Cardinals Game

Since we didn’t get to go to a Cardinals game this year I thought it would be fun to meet up at a game this summer. I handed out notes on the last day about meeting up June 21 at 6:45 outside the front gates for the 7:07 game. Unfortunately, this is not a free game so you’ll have to buy tickets for you and your child. If you plan to go, please send me an email just so I make sure to wait for you before we all buy our tickets.  Hope to see you there!

 

GRRRR

I’m so frustrated with technology at this point! I have the DVD’s done, however, the books your child read are not cooperating. I used a different program this year and it is not allowing me to burn the audio files to a disk. I am determined to figure it out this week.  I will let you know as soon as the CD’s are ready. I will also plan to bring any CD and DVD’s that haven’t been picked up to the Cardinal’s game on Tuesday, June 21 at 7:07pm. Hope to see you then!

Helping Joplin

 

We have received a list of needed items from the Joplin School District. If you can bring any of the following NEW items by Wednesday, we will make sure they are delivered.

• Under wear
• Tee shirts
• Flip flops
• Water
• Baby supplies
• Non-perishable food items
• Toiletry items
• Blankets

Spelling Words

We are done with offical Spelling lists for this year. Your child has a spelling list based on the words they are misspelling in their writing.  I have sent home a new copy today before their test tomorrow. They will have one more spelling list next week that is based on their writing. We will not have spelling the last week of school.

Field Day!

Field day is next Thursday, May 19th. 3rd grade will eat lunch around 11:30 and begin rotating stations at 12:45. Please make sure your child wears comfortable clothes, tennis shoes w/socks, and brings sunscreen! You are welcome to rotate with our class or volunteer to work on of the stations.  More information is coming home today!

We will be going to the Cardinals game on Monday, May 2nd. Please send appropriate clothing, money if you want your child to be able to by snacks, and sunscreen if you want them to wear it.

• 9:30 depart from Willard South Elementary
• 10:00 arrive at Hammons Field
• 10:30-11:30 Weather school
• 11:30-12:00 eat lunch at Jordan Vally Park
• 12:10 game begins
• 2:30 depart from Hammons Field
• 3:00 arrive back at Willard South

Pizza Party Friday!

 

Our class ordered the most yearbooks and earned a Pizza Party!! We will have our pizza on Friday. Thanks for all the orders!

Homework

There will be no more homework packets this year. Please still continue to read 50min per week and if possible, have your child use Study Island to practice math and communication arts skills. You can even use this through the summer!

MAP Test

MAP Testing begin tomorrow! We will be testing communication arts this week Wednesday and Thursday 9-11:30. Please make sure your child gets at least 10 hours of sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, and arrives to school on time.  Thank you for all your help in preparing your child to be successful!

Kiss A Pig Fundraiser
