Valentine Party

CLASS VALENTINE PARTY
Friday, February 12
@2:45 p.m.
Plans include decorating bags for the Valentine Card exchange, playing games, and enjoying treats.
Children can bring valentines to exchange with their friends.
Parents are welcome to come and join in on the fun!
If you want to decorate your own box at home you are welcome to do that. However, we will be decorating bags so you don’t have to. 
Please see your child’s star notebook for a list of kids in the class.

Helping Haiti- Update
January 20, 2010
I’m excited to announce that our class has surpassed our goal of $50 to send to the earthquake victims in Haiti. The second grade classes combined have raised over $100! I’m so proud of them! Kids can still bring in coins and bills until this Friday, January 29. All the money collected will be donated to the Red Cross. Thank you for your help in this effort!
Crochet Class
December 4, 2009
If your child attends crochet class, 2nd grade will be on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month. This month they will only meet on the 11th.
Make-It Take-It Night
December 2, 2009
Our annual Make-It Take-It night is tomorrow, December 3rd at 6pm. Come to make an ornament, decorate cookies, listen to music, and take pictures with Santa.
Please bring a can of frosting!
Homework

In the homework packet you will find a map that says study guide. Please study that with your child every night. Next week they will be given a test over the 7 continents and 4 oceans.
Barnes and Noble

Please check your calendar to see if you are able to come to Barnes and Noble on Saturday, November 28th. Second grade will be doing a play and Coach Ferguson would also like to have students show cupstacking. A portion of items bought that day will benefit our library. If you are able to come please send in a note or email me. Thanks!
Pizza Party
November 18, 2009
PIZZA PARTY! We will be having a pizza party on Tuesday, November 24 during our lunch time to celebrate collecting the most food items. Students will receive 2 pieces of pizza, chips, carrots, and a dessert. You do not need to send a lunch that day unless your child does not want pizza. Thanks!
