In the homework packet you will find a map that says study guide. Please study that with your child every night. Next week they will be given a test over the 7 continents and 4 oceans.

Barnes and Noble

Please check your calendar to see if you are able to come to Barnes and Noble on Saturday, November 28th. Second grade will be doing a play and Coach Ferguson would also like to have  students show cupstacking. A portion of items bought that day will benefit our library. If you are able to come please send in a note or email me. Thanks!

Pizza Party

 PIZZA PARTY! We will be having a pizza party on Tuesday, November 24 during our lunch time to celebrate collecting the most food items. Students will receive 2 pieces of pizza, chips, carrots, and a dessert. You do not need to send a lunch that day unless your child does not want pizza. Thanks!

Native American Play

You are invited to come watch our class perform the Native American play- Rainbow Crow . It will be on Monday, November 23 beginning at 2:40 in our classroom.

Spelling Update

If your child spells one of their extra words incorrectly it will be an extra word the next week as well. Also, if your child spells their extra spelling words correctly on their spelling test but is not spelling them incorrectly in their writing, I will add it as an extra word again.  The goal is to get every student to transfer the words into their writing. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

 

Shoe Boxes!

Please send in any shoe boxes you might have so that we can make dioramas showing the Native American culture we have been learning about. We need one shoe box per group (about 4 kids) so we will only need 5 shoe boxes. We need them brought in no later than Monday,Nov. 16th. Thank you for your help!

Food Drive

We will be having a classroom contest for the most food items donated by the students. The classroom with the highest total at the end of the week will win a Pizza Party!!! The kids set a goal of 200 items. If each child brings in 10 items we will reach our goal. So far we have 25. Just 175 to go by Friday. Thanks for you for helping us reach our goal and giving to families in need.

Turkey Feathers Update

Turkey feathers went home today. Please decorate them asap and send them back to be displayed in the hall.

Fundraiser Pick Up

You can pick up your fundraiser items on Thursday, November 19th from 4:00pm-7:00pm. Items will be available to pick up in the gym.
